Frequently asked questions

 

This FAQ provides answers to basic questions about ESGO membership. If you cannot find an answer to your question here, kindly let us know at membership@esgo.org and we will do our best to help.

 

Q: I do not remember my password.

A: Click on Forgot your password? when trying to log in to myESGO, fill in your email address and click on Submit. A new password will be generated for you and sent to the email address you specified.

 

Q: My credit card payment has been declined.

A: When a payment is declined, it means either that the details entered in the system are incorrect or that the card limit has been reached. Double-check that the credit card details entered were correct. If the information entered was correct but the payment still doesn’t go through, contact your credit card company for assistance or try a different card.

 

Q: How do I become an ENYGO member?

A: Members 40 years old or younger, or who are in training (regardless of age), are automatically registered as ENYGO members when applying for ESGO membership.

Please note that if you are registering as a trainee, you will need to provide a trainee declaration form, which is a confirmation signed by your department’s head.

 

Q: How often do I have to provide the trainee declaration form?

A: You can be registered with ESGO as a trainee for a maximum of three years. Submit this form in the first year you register in this membership category. If the form does not cover the whole period of your trainee program or you did not file it in myESGO, we will need a new one when renewing your membership. You can download the form directly from myESGO, fill it in and then upload to myESGO or send it to membership@esgo.org.

 

Q: I would like to change my email address.

A: To change your email address on file with ESGO, please go to myESGO > Update my profile, fill in your new address and click on Submit.

 

Q: I need a receipt for my payment.

A: To print your payment receipt, please go to myESGO > Update my profile. At the top right of the page, click on Download payment receipt, select which receipt you wish to download, and print.

 

Q: I need my membership certificate.

A: To print your certificate, please go to myESGO > Update my profile. At the top right of the page, click on Download membership certificate.

 

Q: What is the duration of my membership?

A: Membership lasts for one calendar year and therefore runs from January through December. However, if you begin and pay for membership October 1-December 31, your membership will be activated for the remainder of the current year and last through the next calendar year. This means that, if you pay on October 10, 2016, your membership will be valid from October 10, 2016 - December 31, 2017.

Please note that all membership payments received after August 31, 2016, will be applied towards 2017.

 

Q: How can I access the DVDs or textbook?

A: These members-only features are now available in electronic format at ESGO eAcademy. To access the eAcademy, please login to myESGO and click on the e-Academy button on the center left.

 

Q: I have paid for my ESGO membership but I cannot access the Journal.

A: To access the Journal through the ESGO website, please login to myESGO and click on IJGC button in the center of the page.
