The ESGO Council has developed two prestigious biennial awards that recognise excellence in the field of gynaecological oncology: the ESGO Lifetime Achievement Award and the ESGO Helga Salvesen Award for the Best contribution in Translational research.
As a member of the Gynaecological Oncology community, you can help to recognise candidates with an outstanding contribution to the field that could be considered for these awards.
These prestigious biennial awards will be presented at ESGO's 21st European Gynaecological Oncology Congress, from November 2-5, 2019 in Athens, Greece.
Nominations are accepted until April 19, 2019.
The first ESGO Lifetime Achievement Award will be launched this year at the ESGO 2019 congress in Athens, Greece, to recognise a European specialist and international collaborator, whose contributions to the treatment of women with gynaecological cancers, have shown a lasting impact on the field and whose body of work has demonstrated a lifetime commitment towards progress for patient care.

In commemoration of Prof. Helga Salvesen, ESGO Council member, member of ENTRIGO and founder of ENITEC, the ESGO Council initiated the first ESGO Helga Salvesen Award for a major contribution in translational research at the ESGO 2017 congress in Vienna, Austria.
The award recognises a clinician or translational researcher who made a significant contribution to translational research in gynaecological oncology in the past few years.
