The ESGO accreditation in Cervical cancer management is an award attributed to institutions (both within and outside of Europe), who can offer patients the specific skills, experience, organization, and dedication that are required to achieve optimal levels of care.
The ESGO accreditation is based on the completion of ESGO Quality indicators and a scoring system that has been designed and internally validated by an International Expert Panel.

Along with the self-assessment form, kindly gather or retrieve from your institutional database(s) the appropriate information as specified below. This information will be needed to complete the various forms in the application. Individual patient information should be uploaded in the pseudo-anonymized dataset.

There is an administrative fee of 1.100 EUR due for the Cervical cancer management (re)accreditation from applicant centres from high income countries and 500 EUR from centres from Low and Middle Income Countries. (Please consult the list of LMIC countries as of the World Bank).
However, if the same centre has already been accredited for Training, Endometrial or Advanced Ovarian Cancer surgery, the fee is as follows:

Besides, a formal acceptance and commitment to pay the travel expenses of the expert, a random full-day audit that might be necessary in exceptional cases.
Once your application is submitted via REDCap, it is forwarded to a jury of experts (3 members, rotating every 2 years) outside the country of the applicants institution.
As the maximum score is 109, centers meeting 80% (score ≥88) of the maximum score are proposed for certification to the ESGO Centre Accreditation and European Database Committee who make the final decision.
Accreditation is valid for 5 years, subject to renewal as a result of maintenance of the standards. Reminders are automatically sent from REDCap to prompt re-accreditation. It is therefore of utmost importance that your centre provides a valid email address in REDCap for correspondence.
In general, centers scoring less than 88 points will be rejected and can resubmit after a minimum of one year.
Some high volume and high quality accredited centres can in addition apply for the Centre of Excellence award.
The criteria defining a Centre of Excellence are:
The role of Centres of Excellence is to highlight the ESGO quality assurance program and to offer education aimed at improving quality in non accredited centres. Centres of Excellence should also offer complementary education to colleagues from lower volume certified centres, and also form the base for a European network of Centres of Excellence.
The founding Centres of Excellence are represented within the International Development Group. They also form the core of accreditation jury.
The award as Centre of Excellence will be delivered by the Centre Accreditation & European database Committee of ESGO.
