The exclusive ESGO-ESTRO course aims to enable practical implementation of advanced concepts and techniques in daily practice focussing on the multidisciplinary management of locally advanced cervical cancer.
The 3-day course offers experienced multidisciplinary teams of gynaecological oncologists and radiation oncologists an overview of the evidence-based theory combined with live transmission of surgery and demonstration of brachytherapy skills.
The lectures will be followed by discussions based on case presentations to increase participant interaction and application of knowledge, including topics as alternative treatment modalities and multidisciplinary decision-making, as well as criteria for choosing the optimal treatment when certain modalities are not available.
We highly encourage multidisciplinary teams of gynaecological oncologists and radiation oncologists to participate. This course is aimed at experienced gynaecological oncologists and radiation oncologists wishing to introduce high-level treatment of complex locally advanced cervical cancer, including both the primary tumour and recurrence. Course participants should have a specific interest in the implementation of advanced surgical and radiation techniques and interest in optimising the multidisciplinary approach in their practice.
