Radical and Reconstructive Vulvar Surgery – Hands-on cadaver course

A hands-on cadaver course for gynae oncologists, plastic surgeons and fellows concentrating on multi-diciplinary radical surgery in vulvar cancer. Surgical teams are most welcome!

Key Dates

This course offers a unique opportunity to gain insight with surgical techniques and practice them with fresh cadavers. The course is held By experienced surgeons in Tampere University Hospital’s new cadaver centre, especially designed for surgical training.

Learning Objectives for Gynae Oncologists:

  • to master the anatomy of the groin
  • to understand and master the technique of inguino-femoral lymphadenectomy
  • to understand and master the indications and technique of radical vulvectomy
  • to enhance knowledge about possibilities of reconstructive vulvar surgery in vulvar cancer

For Plastic Surgeons:

  • to understand the indications for radical surgery in vulvar cancer
  • to understand the indications and possibilities for reconstructive surgery in vulvar cancer
  • to master various techniques of flap surgery in reconstruction of vulvar area

For both groups:

  • to enhance multidisciplinary team work in radical vulvar cancer surgery

Participation fee: 970 EUR (including VAT 24 %), which includes course materials and diplomas, coffees and lunch. The fee has to be paid by April 1 2018, in order to confirm the participation.
